Seven works. One evening. A panorama of sound.
Cabinet of the Senses is no ordinary concert: it’s more like visiting an art exhibition, with the works presented as a kind of installation distributed throughout the space. The audience prepares for the concert with blood-red drinks, can move freely around the room, and sit on velvet cushions as they please – a truly multi-sensory experience that listeners can help shape, yet at the heart of it all remains the music.
Under the direction of Yorgos Ziavras, the ÉRMA Ensemble presents a diverse program of contemporary music, in which the ensemble members perform in various combinations and sometimes also appear as soloists.
Cabinet of the Senses marks the start of the ensemble’s newly designed Panorama concert series, in which ÉRMA focuses on presenting rarely performed repertoire, with a particular emphasis on the involvement of all the ensemble’s musicians – as a counterpart to ÉRMA’s versatile chamber music series Close Up.
