An evening centering on the romantic orchestral tradition.
The Limburg Youth Symphony Orchestra presents music by Tchaikovsky and Bruch, in which dance, lyricism, and symphonic development converge.
The Polonaise from Eugene Onegin opens the program with a distinctly rhythmic character, followed by Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto, a work characterized by long melodic lines and a prominent solo part for violin, performed by Yanis Grisó. In Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony, the program reaches its symphonic centerpiece, featuring a continuous thematic progression and strong contrasts between tension and lyricism. The concert is conducted by Federico Santi.
