Giselle

Giselle is the ultimate romantic ballet about love, betrayal and forgiveness beyond death.

In an idyllic village, innocent Giselle falls in love with the charming Prince Albrecht, who pretends to be a simple farmer. When his true identity and his engagement to another are revealed, Giselle’s heart breaks – with tragic consequences. In a mystical, moonlit world, she returns as a Wili, a supernatural spirit trapped between life and death. Will her love be stronger than her desire for revenge?

This Giselle is based on a version by the world-famous Kirov Ballet, now the Mariinsky Ballet, from Saint Petersburg. The compelling choreography, beautiful sets and handcrafted costumes transport the audience into a world full of magic and tragedy. The music, masterfully performed by a large orchestra, reinforces the emotional highs and lows of the story.
