From Beethoven’s Triple Concerto to Haydn’s Bear Symphony
In three decades, the Storioni Trio has grown into an institution within classical music. Together with Philzuid, the ensemble presents a festive concert program to celebrate their thirtieth anniversary. Beethoven’s Triple Concerto cannot be missing from this. For years, this has been the acclaimed signature work of the Storionis. In 1803, the Viennese maestro composed a heavenly ensemble for violin, piano, and cello, as well as symphony orchestra. In collaboration with Philzuid, the trio brings out all the subtleties of this magnum opus.

Under the direction of the talented Taiwanese guest conductor Tung-Chieh Chuang, the journey then continues to the Austria of Joseph Haydn and Franz Schreker. In addition to the rarely heard Intermezzo for Strings by the contemplative late Romantic Schreker, all hell breaks loose with Haydn’s grandly orchestrated Bear Symphony. Conductor: Tung-Chieh Chuang
