Lonely Robot was first conceived in 2014 as a vehicle for John Mitchell’s passionate love for movie soundtracks, big rock riffs and all things space and science fiction. Since then, Lonely has released three critically acclaimed albums, 2015’s Please Come Home, 2017’s The Big Dream and 2019’s Under Stars, ending what is now known as the “Astronaut Trilogy”.
An Evening with Lonely Robot is rock solid with Craig Blundell on drums (Steven Wilson, Steve Hackett, Frost), Steve Vantsis on bass (Fish, Tilt) and Liam Holmes on keys.
