Phoenix was founded in Leeds in 1981 as the UK’s first black dance company and has gained international acclaim for its inspiring and creative body of work that has embodied the diverse spirit of a multicultural society for over 40 years.

Cloudburst by choreographer Miguel Altunaga reflects on the relationship between man and his tribe and community, mythology and deity, ritual and spirituality. How have the decisions of our ancestors shaped our culture?

Terms of Agreement is Marcus Jarrell Willis’ first work for Phoenix as Artistic Director. It unravels the eternal question: ‘What is true love?’.
