In response to the current political situation in Ukraine, two cultural entrepreneurs, singer Egita Gielen and Steinway Artist and Naxos Records artist Didier Castell-Jacomin join forces to create a benefit concert to raise money for Ukraine, but also to show that music stands above different nationalities, that music connects and offers a bit of comfort in times of stress and unpredictability.
Musicians from countries such as Ukraine, Russia, Latvia, Poland, France, Canada, Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands perform music from all over the world. According to the initiators, this shows that harmony and a peaceful world can exist in the musical landscape. Unity between Kornelia Bervoua, who has just fled Ukraine, and Dimitri Maslennikov is a great example of how music knows no boundaries and can bind people stronger than anything else.
