Blues Lee was formed in 1995 and in barely two years the band established itself in the first division of the Belgian Blues scene. Already in 1997 they played at the renowned Belgium Rhythm and Blues Festival in Peer and convinced friend and foe with their energetic live show. From then on Blues Lee played in clubs and festivals throughout the Benelux, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Curcaçao, France,….

The band started as a group of friends and you can still hear that on stage: a tight group sound with lots of positive vibes. Swing, jump, Boogie, Rock & Roll, Soul, … certainly not only Blues: the entire American roots landscape is traversed. Blues Lee stands with one leg firmly in the Mississippi Delta and the other on a glitzy dance floor.

The press has already written about the band: “Best blues act in Belgium”; “The music is performed at a very high level and all in the form of a very interesting show where you never get bored”; “Blues Lee has it all: rock-solid songs, great musicians, a fantastic frontman and excellent backing vocals.

The band played at numerous major festivals: 3 x Peer, 3 x Marktrock, Pukkelpop, Magic Blues Vallemaggia, Oppikoppi South Africa, Curaçao, etc…

They jammed with Guy Davis, Peaches States, Billy Branch, Kay Foster Jackson, Smitty Dee Brass Band, Andy J Forrest, Dallas Hodge (Canned Heat), Gene Taylor (Fabulous Thunderbirds) and many others.

In 2020 the band will release a new song on social media every month. At the end of this year these songs will be compiled on a fifth studio CD.

Parklife XL is Café Café’s musical hotspot this summer. With 4 live concerts every week, the same number of DJ sets, and tons of bubble fun, Café Café also fills the summer weekends in Hasselt in the healthy ‘Park’ air.

Parklife’s golden rules for a safe event:
* Have fun in your own bubble, at your own table. Do not mix with other tables. Dancing is not allowed;
* Respect social distance. Keep 1.5m apart when standing in line at the entrance and toilets.
* Sit at your table. Toilet visits are of course allowed;
* If you want to use the sanitary facilities, first check whether it is too busy and wait if possible until the crowds are over;
* The toilets are permanently ventilated;
* A toilet lady is present daily for regular cleaning of our toilets;
* No orders are possible at the bar, all orders go through our app;
* Wash and disinfect your hands regularly. There will be sufficient hand sanitizers on site (at the entrance, toilets, bar, …)
* Bring your mouth mask to Parklife XL;
* At the concerts it is recommended to wear one if the sound volume exceeds 80db. Singing or talking loudly during the concert is not allowed;
* Face masks are mandatory in case of emergency or evacuation;
* Don’t be a risk to other people and stay home if you don’t feel well;
* As a precautionary measure, all visitors will be scanned at the entrance with a temperature scanner;
* Come by bicycle, on foot or by public transport. Parking will be very limited.
