Drinks with Via Malaga! in concert
The Lutheran church organizes an atmospheric musical afternoon with tapas and wine in combination with the Bossa Nova band Via Malaga!
The occasion is the presentation of the band’s new repertoire, with attention to the roots of the Bossa Nova, but also more recent interpretations with excursions into samba and rumba. Via Málaga! started five years ago in Maastricht, inspired by the world-famous Bossa Nova rendition of saxophonist Paul Desmond on his 1964 album Bossa Antigua. Singer Valentina Reyes Pinto will also explain some, often melancholy, Portuguese lyrics this afternoon. The band members also open a book about the instrumentation of the Bossa Nova.
Price € 32.50 p.p. including petiscos (tapas), Portuguese wine, table water, artisan baguette and a delicious Malaga ice cream after.
