Motets by Bach: sincere, direct, close and accessible
Again Cappella travels Amsterdam to PLT. This time, under the direction of conductor Daniel Reuss, they will perform the beautiful program Motetten by Bach.

Motets already existed before Bach’s time, but the composer did bring a great wealth to the genre through his own signature. We do not know exactly how many motets Bach composed; there is a good chance that some have not been preserved. He wrote them for special occasions and they were often only performed once. Therefore, they were not properly archived. Fortunately, we can still enjoy the wonders of this music, such as in this program with which Cappella Amsterdam wants to touch people: sincere, direct, close by and accessible.
