Chris Eckman, known as a producer, songwriter, studio owner, label owner of, among others, Yin Yin, Altın Gün and Tamikrest (Glitterbeat) and as singer/guitarist of many bands such as Dirtmusic, L/O/N/G, Distance, Light & Sky ( with Chantal Acda) and The Strange.

His most successful period was with The Walkabouts from Seattle. The monster hit ‘The Light Will Stay On’ from the album ‘Devil’s Road’ (Virgin/SubPop) sold out all over Europe and top 10 charts.

His most recent solo album, Where The Spirit Rests (2021), has received nothing but critical acclaim. His deep voice in combination with the beautiful americana/roots/folk songs are a feast for the ears of every fan of artists like Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave. Eckman often surprises his audience with a single song by The Walkabouts and covers of his heroes such as Neil Young and Kris Kristofferson.
