Four performances by talent from their own region on the Maanplein in Heerlen.

Schrit_tmacher supports young makers in their development. Each edition, the festival challenges dance and choreography talent from the Euregion to create a new production together. During the summer edition of schrit_tmacher, four talented young choreographers will settle down at a special location during Co-Lab: Maanplein in Heerlen.

In three retail properties on Maanplein, the public can be surprised by four duets in different styles. In her Losing Ground, the young German choreographer Olga Blank (DE) presents a poetic, moving duet about overcoming fears. Spark by the young German choreographer Hermann Bär follows the effects of ‘a spark’ on our decisions. The Heerlen choreographer Sharon Wesseling goes in search of the impact of sensory perception in Innerlijk Rhythm. And Marciano van Kempen + Diego Ramon Lopez, inspired by the wu tang clan, show their passion for hip-hop.

Nice step
Co-Lab is a co-production of VIAZUID, Huis voor de Kunsten Limburg, ARTbewegt and schrit_tmacher. During previous editions we saw work by, among others, Mami Izumi, Roshanak Morrowatian, Lin VerlegerJop Vermeesch and Patricio Bucci & Luis Ricardo Pedraza Cedrón (SALLY Dance Company Maastricht). For all these makers, Co-Lab serves as a nice stepping stone to the general public.
