Five hundred years after musicians from the Lowlands first had success across Europe, our regions remain a hallmark of polyphonic music.
Living proof: Dionysos Now! one of the most exciting old time music formations of today. That precisely Adriaen Willaert, once the star chapel master of San Marco in Venice, is in the eye of the storm that tenor and founder Tore Tom Denys wants to unleash is no coincidence: with the West Flemish town of Roeselare, they share the same native soil. Willaerts Missa Mittit ad Virginem first appeared on CD thanks to this ensemble and now also graces the concert poster.
In association with Organisatie Oude Muziek.
