A heartwarming ode to our chief conductor
What does Rachmaninov’s music do to you? No one says it better than Marilyn Monroe in The Seven Year Itch: “Goosebumps from head to toe, I don’t know where I am, who I am, or what I do. Don’t stop!’
Chief conductor Dmitri Liss says goodbye with the music with which he once conquered the hearts of our musicians. Rachmaninov is bursting with blistering melodies and is full of melancholy and longing. This Third is one of his later masterpieces. In addition, our Russian chef conducts a brand new work by his wife Olga Victorova. Always evocative and colorful, she now brings Russian and Dutch worlds together in Rublev & Rembrandt. A world premiere!
