Tenor saxophonist and band leader Jasper Blom is one of the most harmoniously innovative and versatile instrumentalists in the jazz scene. As a composer he strives for a synthesis of jazz, pop, classical and improvised music.
He won the European Jazz Awards twice. Now he can also call himself the winner of the prestigious Boy Edgar Prize 2019. During the tour along the major jazz stages in our country, the German piano talent Pablo Held will join the Jasper Blom Quartet. During this concert they will perform the album POLYPHONY 3 live. In the earlier POLYPHONY performances, polyphony from the fourteenth to sixteenth century was the common thread. This time the musicians take the Dutch tone clock system as their starting point.
