The “Jazzkirmes” is a unique jazz experience in Limburg. In and Out of the box, an extensive afternoon program full of live jazz, in Cultuurhuis Heerlen. The Jazzkirmes is the opening activity of the November Jazz Month with top acts, surprising crossovers, with classical, fusion, hip-hop, cool, traditionals. Top musicians from our own soil, new talent and everything in between.

This year’s program includes:

Saskia Laroo Quintet.

Saskia is also known as the ‘Lady Miles Davis’. Her music style can be described as a combination of jazz, pop, electronic dance music, Latin and world music.

Paulus Schäfer trio and Dominique Paats.

Sinti jazz guitarist Paulus Schäfer and Dominique Paats find each other in the common universal language of jazz improvisations, in which they impressively master their instruments with soulful melodies and infectious swing.

Under the surface.

Under the Surface is a new Dutch band formed by Dutch drummer Joost Lijbaart (Yuri Honing), guitarist Bram Stadhouders (Jim Black, Sidsel Endersen) and singer Sanne Rambags (winner conservatory talent prize 2017).
