ESINAM (BE/GH)
The multi-instrumentalist ESINAM invites you on a cosmic trip, a journey along horizons colored with sounds and influences as far as the eye and ear can reach. Starting from futuristic (transverse) flute sounds, inventive rhythms and sensitive melodies, the Brussels with Ghanaian roots takes you on an unparalleled musical journey.

ESINAM succeeds in creating her own genre by combining her soulful voice with traditional African percussion, supplemented with lively melodies and improvisations on flute and here and there electronics. Her compositions also reveal the diverse geographical, cultural and musical influences arising from her personal life. ESINAM creates nothing less than a colorful sound carpet full of musical connections, in which traces of house, trip-hop and hip-hop intertwine with elements of traditional jazz and blues.

Kristin Lash & Jakob Gray are among the most outstanding young personalities of the Slovak music scene. The special combination of passionate vocals, lyrics that touch the heart, clear harmonies and massive ‘pop hooks’ make the duo unique in today’s musical landscape. Dreamy, lush, with a funky drum beat, a jazzy bass and Kristin’s impressive soulful voice.

Despite their surprisingly young age (Kristin 24 and Jakob 25), the two have collaborated with big names in the music scene of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, France, Belgium and Germany. Lash & Gray won the ‘Best performance award’ at Bratislava Jazz Days 2019, among others, and they have also been awarded the prestigious Slovak Tatra Banka Art prize for young artists.
