In the summer of 2020, C-Mine converts the venue to a corona-proof stage.
In less than 9 years, the Jean-Paul Estiévenart Trio has become one of the most striking projects of the Belgian jazz scene, with a strong identity and a unique recognizable sound.
With two albums to their name, the trio – consisting of trumpet, double bass & drums – has a strong identity and a unique, recognizable sound. Composer and trumpet player Jean-Paul Estiévenart makes dynamic, powerful music for which he is inspired by the things of life.
In his 15-year career, Jean-Paul Estiévenart had the pleasure of sharing the stage with great personalities such as Enrico Pieranuzzi, Nathalie Loriers, Avishai Cohen (trumpet), Logan Richardson, Dré Pallemaerts, Joe Lovano, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra and Perico Sambeat. He is one of the most requested trumpet players in Belgium.
The other members of the trio are equally impressive. Antoine Pierre is a young but very talented, busy drummer (including Philip Catherine, TaxiWars, URBEX, Next.Ape, the quartet of Veronika Harcsa). Bass player Sam Gerstmans is a professor at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and has supported the greatest Belgian talents such as Steve Houben, Jacques Pirotton, Ivan Paduart Michel Herr, Bert Joris, Greg Houben, Pascal Mohy and Quentin Liegeois.
