John Denver is more than Country Roads and Leaving on a Jetplane, as is proven by Maastricht musician Jimmy Duchateau and his band during this theater concert. It is a tribute to the American country legend and his legendary music. Small songs that evoke memories for everyone and exuberant numbers in which the whole band performs musically. Jimmy breathes new life into hits like Annie’s Song, Perhaps Love, Calypso and Thank God I’m a Country Boy, but also devotes attention to lesser-known work. A grand show with an intimate atmosphere in which the life lessons in Denver’s lyrics take on even more meaning.
