The Pop-up Jazz Club

L’Equipe Lab, led by the tireless bassist Jo Didderen, is a ‘small big band’ composed of top musicians with roots in the Netherlands/Limburg, Belgium, and Germany. These highly sought-after instrumentalists from the jazz scene have shared the stage with big names such as Dizzy Gillespie, Pat Metheny, Toots Thielemans, Gregory Porter, Patti Austin, Benjamin Herman, Eric Vloeimans, and Rowwen Hèze.

Under the name Jo Didderen & L’Equipe de Rêve, this ensemble has released four albums over the past ten years, filled with joyful jazz for heart, mind, and feet. Danceable, yet also suitable for quiet listening. Accessible, yet profound. L’Equipe Lab swings, surprises, soothes, inspires, explodes, and comforts. Anything is possible; the only directions they follow are ‘All Directions’. Where they ultimately end up, they discover along the way.
