Start your Sunday morning with an hour of classical music in contemporary art. A great performance in the Contemporary Art museum in Ligne.
The mezzo-soprano Nienke Nasserian Nillesen, with roots in Venlo, brings a fascinating and varied program. You not only hear beautiful classical arias, but also fascinating trips to other genres such as Kurt Weill’s spirituals and repertoire.
Nienke Nasserian Nillesen is a mezzo-soprano and classical music theater maker. In August 2016 she won the Entrance Prize at Theaterfestival Boulevard with her graduation performance “Masai”. The play is about Nienke’s relationship with her father, who died last year, and her large family in Tanzania. With the show “Mzungu”, which means “tourist” or “white”, Nillesen made a sequel to “Masai”. Nienke is a guest in our museum concert series for the second time this season, after she made a crushing impression last year with her performance.
Before the concert, a hot cup of coffee or tea is ready for you.
