A dance performance about real love.
Love is often a mess. While we really want to believe in the romantic story, because it is only true love when everything goes by itself. Without trying, or hurting, right? Mmm, wake up! Love is crazy, but also totally confusing.

Your head spins and your life is turned upside down. And those expectations about staring ‘happily ever after’ together at a setting sun? Forget it. Love is hard work. And love also means to be afraid. Afraid of being vulnerable or of losing yourself completely in someone. And yet you should not shy away from it, because love is also the most beautiful thing there is.

The realistic image
In Love en dan, choreographer Anne Suurendonk goes in search of other love stories than those presented in romantic films and books. Realistic love that doesn’t come naturally, but that you have to fight for. Love that hurts and may not be good for you. Because yes, sometimes it fails. But if it works…
