The 14th edition of “Heerlen Jazzt” will take place in November 2021. That means plenty of room for professional jazz concerts during the Jazz Kirmes, Jazz-Out series, the slim Big Band Day, the Kapel Concert Series and the Young Jazz Night with the announcement from the winner of the Slim Eujazz Young Talent Award 2021. November Jazz Month means various activities, including touring orchestras and live concerts in cafes and cultural centers. Various activities can also be followed via the internet.

On October 28, the opening of Heerlen Jazz will take place with bassist/singer Peter Willems, action painter Miriam Vleugels and the 81-year-old phenomenon and percussionist Pierre Courbois. Jazz drummer, composer and bandleader Pierre Courbois (photo) has long been one of the standard bearers of Dutch jazz, with both national and international recognition. Courbois is one of the founders of Dutch and European jazz.
