Playa Urbana… the Summer Sessions… A temporary open-air theater in Heerlen! During the days of festival-free summer in South Limburg, there is still something to enjoy! The creative business park of C-Mill in Heerlen forms a stage for Playa Urbana for six weekends … the Summer Sessions … From Sunday 23 August to the end of September there are open-air concerts every weekend in a wonderful festival-like atmosphere. And completely corona-proof of course…!

Opera Alaska
It has nothing to do with opera, all the more with adventurous pop music. Opera Alaska is the new project of Moss frontman Marien Dorleijn and jazz guitarist Marzio Scholten. The two musicians accidentally bumped into each other in Ikea in 2017, discovered a mutual love for songwriting and the rest is almost history. This combination of forces results in strong indie pop songs with dreamy melodies and occasionally danceable grooves, as can be heard on debut album The Stream, which was released on Excelsior / V2 in May 2020, according to De Volkskrant “not predictable for a second and often enchantingly beautiful ”. Four stars!

Playa Urbana is Corona proof
– There is a maximum capacity of 250 visitors (seats).
– Tickets can only be ordered online in advance per 1 or 2 tickets.
– (permanent) seats are designated upon arrival.
– Consumptions can only be ordered online in advance! There is a choice of various packages; it is not possible to (re) order drinks on the site.
– If the activity is canceled due to (additional) corona measures, ticket buyers will receive the full purchase amount back.

Playa Urbana is presented by Cultuurwerkplaats Zeezicht and pop venue Nieuwe Nor.
