The musicians of the future open the classical season at Parkstad Limburg Theaters (PLT).
PLT and the Classic Summer Parkstad Foundation open the classical concert season with a special Overture by young music talent. The Eurasia Quartet and MSM Quartet play music by Pärt, Dvořák, Ligeti, Tchaikovsky, Bach and Beethoven in varying line-ups. In between performances, we look ahead to the upcoming concert season.
Overture is a continuation of the program Classical music gives hope – give hope to classical music that the Classic Summer Parkstad Foundation and PLT organized on 20 June last to draw attention to the problems in the cultural sector caused by the corona crisis. This program was streamed via PLThuis and L1, among others. Overture keeps the attention for this problem alive. By offering young musicians (all self-employed) a platform, we want to contribute to maintaining the cultural infrastructure in this region.
