Full of life, unbelieveably powerful and bustling with ingenuity without bounderies. Under pitiful circumstances, ill and financially ruined, Mozart, at the end of his life, composed three grandiose symphonies in only nines weeks time. With the Third, which would become his last, he surpassed himself. His Jupiter Symphony shines like the Roman supreme god which it was named after.
Lead conductor Duncan Ward shines his light on this classical master piece and brings exotic dances and mythological creatures to life in Rameau’s wonderful Suite from Les Indes Galantes.
Our own concertmaster Lei Wang stands in the spotlights this time, as solist. She will play the majestic Violin concert by Beethoven, solo.
