Maastricht’s own Jazz Club. The Pop-up Jazzclub is a unique place where jazz musicians and listeners meet for an intimate musical experience.

Every third Friday of the month, Jazz Maastricht, together with Theater aan het Vrijthof, transforms the foyer and theater of Kumulus into a true Jazz Club. The Pop-up Jazzclub is a unique meeting place where you can enjoy special and intimate jazz concerts. With an evening-filling program, the Pop-up Jazzclub is the place for a pleasant and musical evening out. From well-known jazz musicians to new talent from traditional jazz to modern and crossover, there is something for every jazz lover! For the third edition of the Pop-up Jazzclub there is a ‘household name’ on the program, namely saxophonist Benjamin Herman together with his trio, further consisting of Thomas Pol and Joost Patocka.

Herman played all over the world and collaborated with artists as diverse as Paul Weller, Han Bennink, Trijntje Oosterhuis and Typhoon. In addition, Herman regularly plays with the New Cool Collective, which he founded. During this concert, enjoy brand new music from their brand new album, plus highlights from Herman’s extensive oeuvre. A party in advance!
