Ravelin sets the mood: the singer’s warm voice, the sparkling violin,
the subtle guitar playing, the polyphonic vocals.
Ravelin’s style can best be described as ‘mellow mélange mundial’, a varied repertoire in English, French, Spanish, Yiddish and Italian. The band brings every song pure and without frills and knows how to touch the listener’s heart. Ravelin feels most at home in smaller venues, where the band manages to create an intimate atmosphere.
In the show “Une belle histoire” holiday love is sung in all its facets in a nostalgic and melancholic journey through Europe.
Ravelin consists of: Anita Verdonk, vocals Josien Mennen, double bass, mandolin, melodica and vocals André Kok, violin and vocals Peter Verheijen, guitar and vocals Garrito Granito, percussion, guitar, gitarron
The band members have a lot of experience, they play with the Sanseverias, Jimmy Duchateau, A tribute to John Denver, and played with The Fureys, Gé Reinders and many others.
