No mere filler or jointing, but an indispensable element of Baroque chamber music: in sonatas with obbligato keyboards, the harpsichord genuinely adds something.
With four sonatas composed over a period of about twenty years, Francesco Corti and Robert Smith explore this special repertoire. In addition to Johann Sebastian Bach, Christoph Schaffrath features the programme with his characteristic style between Vivaldian Baroque and the ‘style galant’.
