The talent of this intelligent and resourceful Irish pianist-composer has not gone unnoticed in Britain either. Seán Morgan-Rooney was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year award. He now lives up to that reputation during the Dutch Classical Talent tour. The starting point of his somewhat introspective program is the relationship between nature and human soul and between identity and imagination. He has thus tackled a topical theme: these are worlds that are all too often at odds with each other. Sean has won the Charles J. Brennan Prize, the Else Cross Prize and the BBC NI Young Musicians’ Platform Award, among others.

As a talent trajectory, Dutch Classical Talent is a household name in the Dutch classical music world. Among the laureates of Dutch Classical Talent are many well-known names such as Tania Kross, Lavinia Meijer, Nora Fischer, Van Baerle Trio and the Berlage Saxophone Quartet. A jury of experts selects four top talents through auditions. These four young musicians develop in a coaching program and tour the twelve largest concert halls in the Netherlands to put their name on the map. Their programs are stimulating, topical, moving and spectacular. This year a varied mix, namely a singer, a percussion duo, a pianist and a cellist. Here you can hear the top musicians of tomorrow.
