Erik de Jong aka Spinvis has grown in twenty years to become one of the most idiosyncratic and versatile artists in the Dutch pop landscape. His successful debut album from 2002 seemed difficult to follow, but he managed to match that quality with wonderfully melancholic records like Dagen Van Gras, Dagen Van Stro (2005), Tot Ziens, Justine Keller (2011) and Trein Vuur Dageraad (2017) ). New music is on the way and will not be long in coming. Music that cannot be described with penalties, except that it is ‘vintage Spinvis’.
