The Starlings are coming to Parklife XL on July 31st ’20! And not only The Starlings, it will be a beautiful evening because after the concert DJ Ward will be playing records for the first time this summer!

DJ WARD
Dj Ward is the most talented all round party dj in Belgium. From Studio 54 in the Sportpaleis, Tomorrowland, Versuz V3, I Love the 90’s in the Ethias Arena, Pukkelpop, Laundry Day, The Hive @ Werchter Festival, Qmusic party tour and many more.
He gives a whole new meaning to the term “eclectic all round DJ”, from commercial to alternative or a crossover of the two, anything is possible.
Ward always gives 100%. He has the gift to adapt to the needs of an audience. It is exactly what makes his DJ sets so strong.

The Starlings
The Starlings, perhaps better known as Tom Dice and Kato Callebaut, are two singer-songwriters who join forces as well as their passion for music and for each other. We could witness this every week in the music program Love For Music in which they performed enchanting versions of classics by André Hazes, Regi, Gene Thomas, Karen Damen, Sean Dhondt and Peter Van Laet. The reactions of existing and new fans are nothing short of overwhelming. The single “Little Submarine” has been in the charts for weeks now.

The Starlings stand for rootsy pop music, with an acoustic feel and harmonies. Songs with a root in melancholy, lyrics that highlight the highs and lows of love and life. At the beginning of 2019 the adventure of The Starlings had to start completely, they signed a record deal with Universal Music and have now released some singles. In addition to their original covers from Liefde Voor Muziek, their own songs will also be included on the new album. So it will be a nice mix of their own work and covers, with their voices blending nicely as always. The album “Don’t Look Back” was released on May 15, 2020.

Parklife XL is Café Café’s musical hotspot this summer. With 4 live concerts every week, the same number of DJ sets, and tons of bubble fun, Café Café also fills the summer weekends in Hasselt in the healthy ‘Park’ air.

Parklife’s golden rules for a safe event:
* Have fun in your own bubble, at your own table. Do not mix with other tables. Dancing is not allowed;
* Respect social distance. Keep 1.5m apart when standing in line at the entrance and toilets.
* Sit at your table. Toilet visits are of course allowed;
* If you want to use the sanitary facilities, first check whether it is too busy and wait if possible until the crowds are over;
* The toilets are permanently ventilated;
* A toilet lady is present daily for regular cleaning of our toilets;
* No orders are possible at the bar, all orders go through our app;
* Wash and disinfect your hands regularly. There will be sufficient hand sanitizers on site (at the entrance, toilets, bar, …)
* Bring your mouth mask to Parklife XL;
* At the concerts it is recommended to wear one if the sound volume exceeds 80db. Singing or talking loudly during the concert is not allowed;
* Face masks are mandatory in case of emergency or evacuation;
* Don’t be a risk to other people and stay home if you don’t feel well;
* As a precautionary measure, all visitors will be scanned at the entrance with a temperature scanner;
* Come by bicycle, on foot or by public transport. Parking will be very limited.
