The masters of West Coast harmonies are back!
With their new album Jacaranda Street in their pocket, Venice is coming back to Heerlen! During their brand new show you will hear new songs but also the well-known classics from their repertoire.
Venice is renowned for its perfect four-part West Coast harmonies. The band consists of two sets of brothers, Michael and Mark Lennon & Kipp and Pat Lennon. All four were born and raised in Venice Beach, California. Their sunny ‘harmony sound’, personal lyrics and involved shows give Venice standing ovations on every tour in the Netherlands.
Venice has been performing since the 1980s. Influenced by Crosby, Stills & Nash, Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles, the singers have developed their own folk/rock/soul sound with their phenomenal four-part vocals as their trademark. The Lennons regard the Netherlands as their second homeland. Since their breakthrough in the late 90s, they have built up a large fan base here, together with bassist Mark Harris, Jasper Westerhof and André Kemp. They were rewarded with, among other things, a gold album and an Edison for Best International Artist.
Their Southern California sound immediately evokes memories of Woodstock ’68: Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Joni Mitchell, The Eagles. A bit of rock, a bit of country, sometimes jazzy, all kinds of influences, but always Venice!!
