WMC | Best of European Wind Bands
Top Dutch sounds with maritime power
The WMC is honored to welcome the Royal Netherlands Marine Band during Dutch Night. One of the three professional wind orchestras of the Dutch Armed Forces.
Since 1945, but with musical roots going back to the 17th-century ship musicians of the Marine Corps, this band sounds like a vibrant symbol of Dutch naval tradition. During this evening, the Marine Band will present a program full of old and new works by Dutch composers. In doing so, it demonstrates just how rich and varied the Dutch wind music tradition is. Expect an impressive combination of sonic power, precision, and musical imagination.
An evening that neither military music enthusiasts nor fans of concert wind music should miss.
