Borrel Noten Open Air Concerts

Borrel Noten Open Air Concerts

In 2026, we are once again delighted to continue the tradition of Borrel Noten at the Helpoort. 12 consecutive days of music at the most beautiful spot in Maastricht.

“A laid-back summer music festival” — a place where you can once again enjoy intimate concerts with the small-scale, accessible character that has made Borrel Noten so special. In the unique setting of d’n Hiemel and the historic surroundings of the Helpoort, a relaxed summer festival atmosphere is created every evening for residents and visitors of Maastricht.

To maintain a good balance between the intensity and quality of the festival on the one hand, and the livability of the surrounding area on the other, we have adjusted the festival’s format. Whereas Borrel Noten previously lasted four weeks, we are now deliberately opting for a more compact formula of twelve consecutive festival days (including 2 weekends).

Additionally, the evening concerts will now start at 8:00 PM, ensuring the program is concluded around 10:30 PM at the latest. On Saturday and Sunday, the program is supplemented with afternoon matinees between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

Special attention and space this year is dedicated to the Roots Unlimited youth musical project: We Want More! Here, under the guidance of professional musicians, we provide a stage for up-and-coming talent.

Borrel Noten ’26 takes place from Wednesday, August 5 to Sunday, August 16, 2026, and once again offers a varied musical program with an emphasis on quality, atmosphere, and social interaction. On weekends, the program is supplemented with atmospheric afternoon matinees.

With Borrel Noten, we aim to organize a free, accessible, and convivial music festival that contributes to a lively and attractive cultural summer in Maastricht. A place where music, social interaction, and a summer feeling come together in one of the most romantic spots in the heart of the city.

With thanks to our partners: D’n Hiemel, Elizabeth Strouven Fonds, Municipality of Maastricht, Boeken voor mensen, Kanunnik Salden Nieuwenhof, Pop in Limburg, Het Cultuurfonds, and the Edmond Hustinx Foundation. daily
