The third weekend of September, the Maastricht city center is entirely dedicated to Musica Sacra Maastricht. The four-day festival is always based around an annually changing theme that fulfills the key role throughout the program, which consists of about 100 program components each year.

Due to obvious reasons, Musica Sacra will open in a different way this year. The amount of audience we were able to welcome in other years, we may not yet receive in Theater aan het Vrijthof – given the distance measures that apply when determining the program. That is why we divide the usually three-part opening over as many locations.

Every place has a speech, every place there is a free concert and a fairy tale as a surprise.

If the gods are favorable to us, we will gather at the kiosk on the Vrijthof afterwards. To finally meet and talk to each other again, while enjoying a good glass of wine.
