Burning Bridges (formerly Jens van Daele | Burning Bridges) creates raw, haunting dance productions in which themes such as courage, perseverance, compassion and regret are the guiding principles. Mentally and physically strong women also take center stage. Furia (Spanish for rage) expresses this theme even more powerfully by letting the women themselves speak. For this performance the dancers and musicians draw richly on their own sources of rage and thus deepen the above theme with an extra personal, recognizable layer. In intimate diary entries and inspired song lyrics, they unleash their restrained anger and fits of rage on stage and audience.
