Mnozil Brass brings world-class brass in creative shows in which musical virtuosity comes together with entertainment, comedy and cabaret. The Austrian wind players give about 120 concerts a year. And every tour they come to Heerlen.

This time the blazers will have you on the edge of your seat with Phoenix. Pandaemonium was originally scheduled, but performing this show in a period of social distancing was impossible even for experienced brass musicians like Mnozil Brass: “Bruce became Caitlyn, Raider became Twix, Pandaemonium becomes Phoenix! And we won’t waste time on melancholy but blow our way out of the ashes with good cheer.”

A ‘brassy’ reflection
In the 27 years of their existence, Mnozil Brass has in all seriousness brought the most cheerful and absurd performances to the stage. In Phoenix, the seven blazers highlight the serious things in life. All the petty demons, which stand in their way of pursuing the true and noble, are subjected to a “brassy” reflection. Why do we prefer not to be holy? Why would we rather be content than rude? And why is it more fun at night than during the day? Mnozil Brass explores these complex questions with the necessary depth and wisdom that comes with age.
