An entire orchestra in one instrument
By popular request, Toine Sporken, music expert and permanent initiator, has put together a new series of listening lessons for you. The Listening Finches are an ideal addition to our classic program every season.

Toine first focuses on the piano (recital) in an Listening Finch that begins with Bartolomeo Cristofori, discoverer of the pianoforte in the early 18th century. We follow the development of his invention, dive into the interior of the instrument and listen to a variety of (unknown) compositions. Franz Liszt subsequently stood at the cradle of the recital. His motto ‘The concert, that’s me’ says it all. In addition to text and explanation, there is of course also beautiful live music.
