Enrico Pieranunzi has long been one of the best-known and most appreciated personalities of the European jazz scene. Pianist, composer, arranger, with more than seventy albums to his credit, varying from solo piano to trio and from duet to quintet. The much sought-after Dutch double bass player Jasper Somsen has collaborated with many top musicians from the international jazz scene throughout his career. Jorge Rossy is internationally recognized as one of the most influential drummers of his generation. In addition to his work as a drummer, Jorge has a distinctive voice on the vibraphone, marimba and piano. He also has a unique sound as a composer and bandleader.

Micro Oxygen (CN/DE)
Modern jazz with influences from classical and Chinese folk music: Micro Oxygen is one of the top bands at Conservatorium Maastricht. Compositions that tell stories about life experiences and (future) dreams. The music is refreshing, intimate and adventurous at the same time. While their music is inspired by artists like Aaron Parks and Brad Mehldau, bandleader Pian Vane has put together a very cross-cultural band to create a unique band sound. Vane (CN), alto saxophonist Gregor Oehlmann (DE), bassist Wolf van Gemert (NL) and drummer Joey Schins (BE) are Micro Oxygen together.
