Since 1996, Limburger Dirk Swartenbroekx has been making funky records under the name Buscemi, one of his favorite actors. His style is difficult to categorize. You can hear elements of bossa, jazz, house, Brazilian grooves, afrobeat, balkan, drum’n bass and dub … Dance music with a warm feeling is perhaps the best description of Buscemi’s sound.

Buscemi as a DJ throws a variety of music styles into the blender. It is impossible to dwell on his mix of rhythmic, funky tunes from well-known and lesser-known artists. His dance-able DJ sets are recognized worldwide, by clubs such as Buddha Bar and Ministry of Sound.

Expect a fusion of house, afrobeat, balkan, techno, dub, disco and the carnival from Notting Hill and Brazil. Una fiesta para todos! Dirk brings his live band Squadra to Hasselt. Keith Canvas on keys, Sam Verwseyveld on trumpet and Wilma Jane behind the microphone provide a thrilling party.

Parklife XL is Café Café’s musical hotspot this summer. With 4 live concerts every week, the same number of DJ sets, and tons of bubble fun, Café Café also fills the summer weekends in Hasselt in the healthy ‘Park’ air.

Parklife’s golden rules for a safe event:
* Have fun in your own bubble, at your own table. Do not mix with other tables. Dancing is not allowed;
* Respect social distance. Keep 1.5m apart when standing in line at the entrance and toilets.
* Sit at your table. Toilet visits are of course allowed;
* If you want to use the sanitary facilities, first check whether it is too busy and wait if possible until the crowds are over;
* The toilets are permanently ventilated;
* A toilet lady is present daily for regular cleaning of our toilets;
* No orders are possible at the bar, all orders go through our app;
* Wash and disinfect your hands regularly. There will be sufficient hand sanitizers on site (at the entrance, toilets, bar, …)
* Bring your mouth mask to Parklife XL;
* At the concerts it is recommended to wear one if the sound volume exceeds 80db. Singing or talking loudly during the concert is not allowed;
* Face masks are mandatory in case of emergency or evacuation;
* Don’t be a risk to other people and stay home if you don’t feel well;
* As a precautionary measure, all visitors will be scanned at the entrance with a temperature scanner;
* Come by bicycle, on foot or by public transport. Parking will be very limited.
