10cc

10cc

The Manchester-born band were one of the most inventive and influential groups of the 1970s. They scored many big hits, including “The Wall Street Shuffle”, “Dreadlock Holiday”, “Donna” and “I’m Not In Love”. So get ready for a strong new show featuring only top hits and classics!
10cc has left a clear mark on the history of pop music and is cited by many as an influence. In the early 1970s, 10cc from Greater Manchester gave the British music scene a surprisingly new face with their tongue-in-cheek lyrics and catchy choruses. The band broke up in 1983 and reunited in 1991 to record two albums. Band leader and co-founder Graham Gouldman put together a new line-up in 1999, including Rick Fenn and Paul Burgess, who also played in 10cc in the 1970s. In this new line-up they have already done several tours, during which all the big hits from the past were received with great enthusiasm. We have now moved on for a while and the band is, according to bandleader and founder Graham Gouldman ‘the most perfect 10cc you will ever hear’!

Support act: Jasper Erkens

Born in Belgium, raised in London, living in Amsterdam for 5 years now. Jasper Erkens is barely 28 and has already completed a richly filled course. He was only 15 when he released his first record. Inspired by icons such as David Bowie and Damien Rice, the young, ambitious Erkens put himself in the spotlight. It didn’t do him any harm. He ended up in a creative hub in Amsterdam and started writing songs. He also co-wrote songs for Dutch acts such as Lucas Hamming and Indian Askin behind the scenes. He became the youngest solo artist ever to play Rock Werchter and secured a spot as a supporter of Adele, who promptly gave him some motherly advice: “Enroll at BRIT school in London.” Erkens did not let himself be told twice and left on a musical quest on the other side of the canal.

In 2020, his solo project brought back to the forefront of which 3 singles have already been released. During the recording of the video clip of Guilt Trippin’, however, Erkens broke his foot, which meant that he was unable to walk for several months. He took this opportunity, locked himself up in his attic/home studio in Amsterdam West and put the finishing touches on his completely self-produced third album ‘Limbo Terminal’. On November 24, 2021, he will present his album in the Melkweg in Amsterdam.
