Chamber Choir Maastricht – JOHANNES PASSION
The performance of Bach’s Johannes Passion on Good Friday by the Maastricht Chamber Choir has become an integral part of Maastricht’s musical life. The story of this passion music is based on Luther’s translation of the Gospel according to John. The dynamism of this text is echoed in the music that Bach composed for it: fierce reactions from the people and intense emotions are witness to this.
