Circling the City: The Valley of the Maas (South) Bicycle Ride
The Valley of the Maas is so filled with so much beauty that we couldn’t fit it into just one tour! This tour will cover the south of the Maas Valley which has majestic vistas, beautiful country houses and another old village for us to enjoy.
Who: This tour will be lead by Maastricht local Lucy and is for Maastricht enthusiasts of all ages provided they can comfortably and safely ride a bicycle for around one hour with frequent stops.
When: Sunday 1st November, meeting at 14:00hr. The tour will go for approximately 2 hours.
Where: Our meeting place for this tour will be outside the Bonnefanten Museum (250 Avenue Ceramique) at the front entrance, and the tour will take place within the city of Maastricht.
What do I have to bring?
Please bring your own bicycle and any additional equipment (helmet etc.) you may need as these WILL NOT be provided. We recommend bringing a drink and / or snacks to keep you going throughout the tour as well as any sunscreen, hats, comfortable shoes etc. that you may need. We want you to be comfortable and safe so you can enjoy the tour to its fullest!
While the ride is suitable for beginners, make sure you have at least a basic understanding of Dutch road rules and are a competent bicycle rider. The ride will leisurely and under 10km in distance so as long as you can keep pedaling that far, you will enjoy this event!

We will be adhering to the relevant Covid-19 restrictions for this and all future tours. This means tours and the rules we have to abide by are subject to change. Please be patient as we navigate these uncharted waters!
Attendees are asked to maintain the recommended 1.5m distance between persons while on this tour (this shouldn’t be a problem whilst cycling).
If you have cold or flu-like symptoms, please DO NOT attend the return. If you have bought tickets but become sick, contact us as soon as possible and we will work with you to offer a refund or a replacement ticket for the future.
As much as we love meeting all our attendees, we won’t be shaking hands- a nice wave will have to suffice for now!
We will not be accepting cash payment for hygiene reasons. If this is an issue for you please contact us and we will find a solution together.
Love one of our tours but can’t make it or just have to do it again? Great! If you would like us to repeat a tour, we can do so on request with a minimum of 5 attendees.
