Heidevolk
Five years after their critically acclaimed album ‘Vuur van Verzet’, the Dutch folk metal collective Heidevolk returned in early 2023 with their seventh studio album via Napalm Records, keeping the pagan flame burning! Since their impressive 2005 debut, ‘The Combativeness Is Born’, the band has taken the heavy music scene by storm. With double clear vocals, irresistibly catchy songs, traditional instruments and fast metal riffs, all fueled by their folkloric fire and pagan pride, Heidevolk guarantees an uncompromising sound and musical adventure. Nytt Land
Nytt Land, a band from Kalachinsk, near Kazakhstan, has been building their path for ten years and recently gained fame through the album “Ritual” on Napalm Records in 2021. With an intriguing mix of Old Norse and Khanty, a tribal language from Siberia, the band explores themes of reincarnation on their latest album ‘Torem’. Just like Heilung and Wardruna, they bring pagan, shamanic and folkloric ambient. Although sometimes too repetitive, they create an enchanting atmosphere with instrumental layering and ritual guttural sounds. Nytt Land’s unique sound takes listeners on a journey through Eurasian ice deserts.

Jonne
Jonne Järvelä is the singer/guitarist of the Finnish band Korpiklaani. He is known in the Verga folk metal scene for his joiking and contributed to the joik on the Finntroll album ‘Jaktens Tid’. Previously he was a member of the Sami music group Angelin tytöt. In 2011, he appeared in the song “Humppa Is My Neighbour” by the Russian band Тролль Гнёт Ель (Troll Bends Fir) and in “Leszek a Hold” by the Hungarian band Dalriada. In 2013, Järvelä launched his solo project Jonne, in which he plays acoustic folk music.
