Kon. Harmonie St. Cecilia Mheer en Kon. Harmonie Sainte Cécile Eijsden

Kon. Harmonie St. Cecilia Mheer en Kon. Harmonie Sainte Cécile Eijsden

Between the castles of Mheer and Eijsden, a rich cultural life takes place in Limburg, of which wind music is an important part – not only in colorful traditions such as Bronk and Cramignon, but also with a high-quality, top-level repertoire on the concert stage.

The Koninklijke Harmonie St. Cecilia van Mheer commemorates this year that it was the first wind band in the Netherlands to be founded in 1821, two centuries ago, six years after the Battle of Waterloo. She marks this anniversary with a double concert in collaboration with the illustrious ‘Roej van Eesjde’, Koninklijke Harmonie Sainte Cécile. The concert will be opened by Governor Roemer, King’s Commissioner in Limburg. Both corps will present an attractive and ambitious concert program. A great opportunity for music lovers and those interested in Limburg culture and cultural history.
