MINE

MINE

It is a well-known fact that German pop music is snoring boring in 90 percent of the cases and loves to go the easy way. That Mine knows and can do better, too. The 33-year-old has demonstrated this with her self-titled debut album from 2014 and the successor “The goal is in the way” two years later alone, but also together with artists like the Orsons on songs and stages.

When you hear “Klebstoff” for the first time, you might think that it was more pop, maybe more accessible, than the two predecessors. It is probably more professional. With “90 grad” and “Einfach so” the album has good pop songs that let you know immediately what they are about and that are not lost in the irrelevant background noise of the musical zeitgeist. But then there are also songs like “Nichts” or “Schwer bekömmlich” that want something from you that you have to get involved with.

“I think the mix of these two extremes is perfect,” says Mine. »For me, a good album is one that accompanies me for a long time, but still picks it up directly. Then it can happen that a few songs inspire you at the beginning, while others fade into the background and thus get time – but after you have heard the album a few times, it turns and you cannot understand it was different before. «

Doors open at 7 p.m., start at 8 p.m.
