Ravelin in Concert: Une belle histoire

Ravelin in Concert: Une belle histoire

Ravelin sets the mood: the singer’s warm voice, the sparkling violin, the subtle guitar playing, the polyphonic vocals. Ravelin’s style can best be described as ‘mellow mélange mundial’, a varied repertoire in Spanish, French, Yiddish, English and Italian, among others. Chanson, klezmer, Irish jig or tango, Ravelin brings every song pure and without frills, and knows how to touch the listener’s heart.
The performance “Une belle histoire” is a melancholic “trip down memory lane”: Back to the time when we discovered life, love and new countries.
Ravelin consists of:
Anita Verdonk, vocals
Josien Mennen, double bass, mandolin, melodica and vocals
André Kok, violin and vocals
Peter Verheijen, guitar and vocals
The band members have a lot of experience, they play with the Sanseverias, Jimmy Duchateau,
A tribute to John Denver, and played with The Fureys, Gé Reinders and many others.
