Sedaa

Sedaa

Especially live, Sedaa sets the tone from the very first sounds for what will be a special experience.
The fact that music is an international language is rarely felt so deeply as during a Sedaa concert. The musicians from Mongolia and Iran make a link in their music between traditional Mongolian music and the Orient.

Mongolian or grunge?
With magical sounds from Mongolian throats and an equally special set of instruments, Sedaa creates a very unique and fascinating sound world. Sometimes authentically oriental and traditional to sound very western and modern again. Sedaa provides a musical sensation every time with overtone singing (throat singing) and virtuoso playing.

Special experience
In our country, this musical sensation has been featured more often in VPRO’s Vrije Sounds. Singer Nasaa Nasanjargal sings in the typical Mongolian throat singing style and with Naraa Naranbaatar he plays the Morin Khuur: the two-stringed horse-head violin. The virtuoso dulcimer player Ganzorig Davaakhuu and the Iranian multi-instrumentalist Omid Bahadori also play traditional instruments.
