An intriguing combination of contemporary dance, creative circus and mountaineering
In mountaineering, the term ‘white out’ refers to the complete disappearance of landmarks due to special weather conditions: snow and clouds distort the reflection of light, making sky and earth appear to merge and making it impossible to safely move in any direction.

A mountain tragedy by three performers
The performance White Out, by choreographer Piergiorgio Milano, is an ironic and dramatic journey, amusing and moving, not only through the natural landscape shown on stage, but also through the inner nature of man. It is a tribute to all mountaineers who have disappeared or who were at risk of disappearing into the endless white of the mountains.

Opening Dutch Mountain Film Festival
White Out is the opening of the Dutch Mountain Film Festival, the international mountain film festival that takes place from October 31 to November 5 in Heerlen and Aachen. The performance White Out takes place in collaboration with schrit_tmacher Festival.
